Any ways...
Today, some people came and did wrestling in P.E. and two students got to go as an example, and two of my best friends went up. It was quite humorous and made my day (; lol
In my history class, my teacher was telling everyone to put an X on North Africa, and comes over to our table to make sure we are doing our work, because let's face it, my table is not the best behaved table in that class, and looks over one of my partner's shoulders (the one that got suspended for dealing) and points at his paper, and says, "That's Brazil *****" ahahahhahah. Ok, you might have had to be there...
I am being kicked off the computer by an angry father, who just might break this laptop over my head if I don't close this in 10 seconds, so have a nice night!

One of my favorite quotes is in The Perks of a Wallflower: "We accept the love we think we deserve."
I may check these books out. My favorite "science" book it TS Kuhn's short, but groundbreaking book of the '70's, The Structure of Scientific Revolution. (He popularized the word: paradigm.)
It's an excellent read: if you're in to those kind of things. (I read it for a Liberal Studies in Science final.)
Enjoy your break!

Thanks!
I don't know about Way of the Peaceful Warrior, but The Perks of Being a Wallflower isn't a science book, we're just reading it for science! haha
Well, I got them both anyway at the library yesterday. I'm on spring break, and they'll make for some enjoyable reading.
The Structure of Scientific Revolution is a book about how science progresses: it progresses in a social circle of scientists who "grow up" together much like a child who has a worldview... encounters anomolies... adjusts her worldview... and repeats the process.
That's the nutshell version. See main nut for more...

Thanks for visiting my blog and laughing. :)
I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower. (I think it's mis-titled.)
My 23 year old daughter informs me it is one of her favs.
You're right it's not a science book, social science maybe, ethics - perhaps, imagined case-study... more likely.
Compelling. Interesting. Perhaps you should blog on it. What's your take on the book?
My 14 year old just read this book over the summer for extra credit. She is entering nineth grade. She told me how inappropriate it is so I decided to read it. Everything that could go wrong in high school is in this short book, suicide, rape, sex, sex with strangers, drugs, sexual abuse from a family member you name it. The book is clearly not appropriate for her age group. I think the school should have warned the parents of its content...
